We’ve been there, done that.

Jen Boulden

Following a decade running marketing for NYC Internet startups, Boulden received a “green MBA” on full scholarship from George Washington University. Upon graduating with honors, she co-founded IdealBite in 2005, a daily email dedicated to “light-green living.” The digital media venture grew rapidly by leveraging private equity capital, good business & branding sense, email list building techniques and a deep passion for building a movement. Within 3 years, IdealBite was acquired by The Walt Disney Company for $20M.

After serving as a Vice President at Disney for several years, Boulden shifted gears to have babies on her farm. She believes her greatest contribution is to work with promising leaders who can be a counterforce to our outmoded capitalistic structure via ‘conscious capitalism.’

Amanda Steinberg

Amanda’s founded multiple businesses in finance, media, and politics. In 1999, she launched her first digital agency serving progressive non-profits and mission-based businesses. In 2009, she founded DailyWorth, a startup focused on women’s financial prosperity. As CEO of DailyWorth, she raised $9M in venture capital and grew its audience and email list to 1.2M email subscribers. DailyWorth was acquired by HerMoney Media in 2017.

Amanda then joined Revolution Messaging as CFO/CRO through its sale to Upland Software. Most recently, Steinberg led digital fundraising for Marianne Williamson for President. She’s a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in Urban Studies. Based in Philadelphia, she’s raising two tweenage children while caring for two large, orange Maine Coon cats.

How can I be sure HigherU's Market Your Movement™ is the right fit?

Easy! If you have a calling, a passion, an idea for, or a current endeavor with social-change underpinnings (meaning: it strives to make the world better in its own way), then we will help you take it higher.

I don’t have a business yet – will this still work for me?

Market Your Movement™ is designed to help both emerging and existing organizations that have social change underpinnings and/or are purpose-driven. 

When does the program start and end?

This program will get rolling July 21st, and if you can devote 2 hours a week to it, it will take about 16 weeks to go through. 

How much time do I need to set aside for this?

You need about 2 hours a week if you’re following our recommendations for activities and group work, and from there, you’ll finish in about 16 weeks.  Also, we offer live coaching on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 – 4 ET, every week. 

Can I access the materials anytime I want?

You are granted access to our MemberHub and all the videos and class directory (with Fellow Movement Builders) for 6 months. You may keep all of your worksheets, templates and work products that are generated from our proprietary tools – forever and ever. 

Will I get the chance to interact with Jen + Amanda?

Yes! Weekly office hours are pretty much a party (and you learn a ton). Jen and Amanda happily apply their expertise to helping YOU work through any areas you’re stuck or need an upleveling.

Do I need to attend class at certain times?

Nope! You have access to the training materials you need in the member portal so you can work through the lessons and coursework when it’s convenient for you. However, if you join a cohort you all may meet at certain times each week to help keep each other on track and be each other’s sounding boards.

Sounds great! What does it cost?

The tuition for this digital marketing course and coaching is $1,795 upfront (a savings of $193), or you can pay $497 per month for four consecutive months. This is an all-inclusive price, meaning there are no additional or hidden fees for things like course materials or software.

Do you offer any sort of guarantee?

Yes! We offer our program at no risk to you. You must complete 80% of the required assignments so that we know that you’ve done the work. If you’re still unsatisfied, we’ll refund you in full.

What is your deal with alpacas and disco balls?

Amanda flew in from Philly to visit Jen in Santa Barbara farm country, and while there she developed an obsession with a neighbor’s alpaca. Jen promised Amanda that when HigherU hit a certain revenue goal she’d buy Amanda an alpaca to keep at her farm, and they’d throw a party . . . and every good party needs a disco ball. Make sense? (Don’t answer that.)
